TRUSSDECK™ Global Building Structures In The News
Groningen, Netherlands -- Beware capital buildings are falling! Man-made earthquake tremors
are shattering homes and threatening lives in many parts of Holland. Yes, manmade earthquakes are being generated by the large natural
gas companies extracting millions of cubic feet of trapped gas in between layers and layers of shale rock. The Groningen gas field is
the largest in Europe. It is by far their biggest natural resource but Exxon and Shell oil companies are still continuing to endanger
the lives of native people. The Netherlands is thought to be a calm serene place but in the past 10 years much of the capital city and
much area throughout the countryside is under siege by the tremendous volume of gas extraction from the earth.
Weather old or new, buildings scattered throughout the
northern side or the country have been damaged by life threatening cracks in residential homes (shown below), office buildings,
business centers, activity complexes and many other types of building construction. The worst
extent (shown to the left) are buildings which encounter complete collapse. A very dangerous situation has arisen and there are
not many avenues of protection or comfort to give the people a sense of security to come. Homes and buildings are under attack
from their own people with no promise to fix the problem. The country is in uproar, living in fear, and trying to fight for their
safety with NAM group, the oil companies representative group aimed to help the people struck. There are essentially very little
recovery avenues or solutions to turn to except for moving away from their homeland area. Conventional rebuilding is
not the answer as further seismic activity may reoccur nor patching up weak cracked foundations to help stabilize the structure.
Any type of complete rebuilding must incorporate accommodations to handle level 5 seismic ground movements. People do not really
want to move away from their fore-generations land. Something must be done to stabilize and comfort the people in need of their
homes, businesses and playgrounds. Everyone is aware the natural gas extraction will not stop until all the gas is gone and who
knows what level of destruction and loss of life will be incurred.
TRUSSDECK™
Global Building Structures have been asked to step in help. Trussdeck has created solutions to repair and re-stabilize minor building
foundations using their high performance structural materials. Foundation recovery is a dangerous business which requires advanced
materialls technology and vibration tested engineered solutions.
Once foundation begin to let loose, the rest will soon follow or leave a very precarious stability condition (sectional foundation
stabilization shown at right). Trussdeck application techniques have been centered around utilizing a superior strength spray on
adhesive glove material in conjunction with metal stiffening plates held together with offset through-bolting. The spray on
SeismicSkin™ material acts to create an super-strong tight-jacket on both sides of the foundation. The very high strength non- tear
material and plating solution is specifically designed to handle further vibration and movement. It will in effect retain any loose
foundation components so as they cannot slip out of the Trussdeck tight-jacket restraining system. This system is to be used primarily
to stop massive collapse which may lead to an entrapped life.
To solve the problem against reoccurring seismic vibrational damage and the unpredictable new ones, Trussdeck engineers have created
what is called a QUAKECELL™. This "Red-Top Cell" (below right) is comprised of another advanced material technology
system designed and engineered to be a cast-in-place seismic vibration isolator. This unique material can carry high compressive loads
without creep or deformation for many generations to come. It retains an internal lubricity in combination with a differential slip
sheet to allow for planar movements within the QuakeCell™ itself. The combined quantitative estimates on the number of re-stabilization
or repairable" structures, as NAM has given the association, the acceptable degree of damage, is predicted in the
thousands of homes by the end of year. Inclusive to this estimate are residential homes, smaller work places, activity centers and all
other types of life protecting "reusable" buildings.
On the not so lucky side are all the buildings which suffered from some collapse to total collapse. Trussdeck™
Global
Structures have submitted that these buildings are to be replaced completely using the Trussdeck™ Structural Building Block System.
Beginning with the suggested QuakeCell™ foundation as to reduce and/or to eliminate future house destructive harmonics which allow
shaking to the extent of collapse. New and reoccurring seismic activity is continually foreseen. To obtain any sense of comfort to the
people all building structures must be fitted with some type of anti-seismic-destructive designed device. The keep the re-facing of the
exterior tradition styles as per the culture, the newly constructed Trussdeck protective buildings will incorporate a separate
foundation designed to support the heavy Holland brick veneer and will be located directly
inline with adjacent perimeter of the QuakeCell™ network geometry. The veneer will be fastened to the Trussdeck using standard
corrugated mortar tabs but will not induce
significant destructive loading conditions when seismic activity were occur again. Some inherent changes to the normal home or building
will be incurred using the Trussdeck construction system will be the visibility of chased electrical routing and integrated HVAC
tended plenums interior walls to make the building more thermal energy efficient. These features are all standard to Trussdeck building
systems.
In the total evaluation of the multi-year project and its extensive on-going nature, Trussdeck will set up manufacturing near Groningen
or an area closer to port and work directly with NAM and the many building contractors scattered around the country who will perform
the Trussdeck assemblies and acceptable repairable dwellings. Trussdeck Global will supply 50% of the raw materials necessary for the
complete manufacturing process. The number jobs created using the Trussdeck™ solutions is estimated to be close to 200 people.
Quantitative estimates of structures to incorporate the elevated QUAKECELLS™ foundation system is to be in the hundreds of buildings.
Trussdeck™ safety structures will also be used to build relief shelters, nursing care centers, temporary schools and other needed
fast-assembly buildings.
Trussdeck ™ Global Building Block Structures looks forward to assist the Dutch in the reconstruction of their beautiful land. As
with many other places around the would, we believe in helping to create safer living, schooling, work and activity structures for
everyone to fell more protected and comfortable. Building a better quality way of life is the current global theme as we all want to
provide a greater standard of living in our lifetime, in our children's lifetime and for all continuing life on this planet.
Together, let's build everyone a safer planet to live.
Somalia, Africa -- The United Nations diplomatic presence is vital to areas of eastern Africa such as Somalia
in light of dangerous vigilant unrest, recent life threatening terrorist events and the overwhelming spread of famine. It is also an area with no U.S. embassy presence.
According to an assessment by United Nations agencies and humanitarian partners the need to establish and monitor the region is extremely
important to maintain ceasefire in Mogadishu and surrounding areas, to escort deliveries of humanitarian supplies to distribution centers
in the city and deliver the mission's mandate to strengthen the peoples relations and generate and overall peacefulness.
Trussdeck™ Global Building Systems has been asked to design and build a United Nations diplomatic center deploying a group of 50 individuals to work
and live together to bring about stability in the regional areas. Trussdeck™ has proposed a set of safety buildings including an office environment, an complete apartment complex and cafeteria, gymnasium and a universal outdoor commons area for gatherings and speeches. Trussdeck provides the fast assembly of safety structures using the latest in materials technology to inherently install blast and ballistic protection in all of these types of structures. The buildings are to offer an energy efficient solar panel design to supplement energy requirements in its semi-remote location. The need for quickly built energy efficient protective structures is becoming in large demand not just for the United Nations buildings but also in military barracks, nursing and medical facilities, research and development outposts in harmful environment areas, Red Cross disaster shelters, quick set up warehousing, ammunitions dispensaries and operational personnel housing. The technology of today provides
for safe quick-built assembly building structures
and is now becoming of vital interest to world's need for performance building structures for everyone.
